My wife and I were able to make it to stop by BarCampAustin for the presentation by Tom Brown and Rich Vázquez on complimentary currency. They were a good team to present. Tom's participation with bootstrap austin and Rich's involvement with non-profits was a good mix of experience to provide a compelling presentation. Good job, guys!
I have to say that I was impressed by the magnitude of the gathering. Many people were there, and at least 2 dozen people were actually paying attention to the presentations. Things were going on in the back room as well. I believe there was a wordpress meetup and a drupal meetup going on while we were there. I did not attend either of these, but I am impressed by the life in the communities.
