I just updated my blog software to wordpress 2.2. I have never really played much with plugins, but I just installed two plugins that I am rather excited about.
wp-gatekeeper: this plugin will ask dumb, easy questions if you want to comment on my blog. Sometimes captcha is hard for the user to interpret. This plugin is a simple question that everyone should know the answer to, but a computer will not. If I think there could be more than one answer, then I provide a hint. Another neat thing about this plugin is that it will allow me to control the questions that are asked.
markdown: I have been using wordpress for a long time, and I have always wanted to use markdown Wordpress has a WYSIWYG editor, which is OK, however, it does not support Safari. This leaves me with editing html is a plain text input area. Markdown is much more convenient than html. I can also use my textmate editor to post and preview.
Bear with me as I update some of the posts that are really messed up. I hope that you do not have to go back and read all of my old, boring posts.
